End SARS: Human Rights activist cry out over assassination attempt on his life in Abuja
Human Rights activist and convener of “Concerned Nigerians” Deji Adeyanju cry out over the assassination attempt on his life in Abuja today.
The outspoken activist says he was attacked twice in Abuja, the federal capital territory today and he had to move to a safe house to protect his life.
“Have had to relocate to a safe house because of 2 attempts on my life today in Wuse 2 and Jabi. The buhari regime is indeed crazy. Do they think the protests will stop if they take me out? Am I leading the protest? Thugs and rogue elements have taken over Abuja” reads a tweet on Deji Adeyanju’s Twitter handle.
Deji Adeyanju , who was arrested and put in prison in 2018 for months is not new to danger at protest venues after he was attacked and almost killed last year while protesting in Abuja and he was airlifted to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates for medical treatment.
Despite the attack, Adeyanju did not stop protesting against bad governance in Nigeria. The latest allegation of assassination on his life is not surprising as not less than twelve protesters have died so far since the nationwide protest calling for an end to police brutality starts.
Protesters in Nigerian major cities and towns are not backing down despite attack against protesters in Lagos, Abuja, and other cities in Nigeria.
Not less than 10 protesters cars were burnt to ashes and houses razed too as hoodlums attacked protesters in Abuja.
The ongoing protest with has now spread to almost all the 36 States in Nigeria is more visible in the Southern parts of the country where the issue of police brutality is more prevalent.
