Electoral Malpractice: Jail Of Prof Peter Ogban A Lesson To Compromised Officials -PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, hailed the sentencing of Prof Peter Ogban for electoral malpractices in the 2019 general elections for Godswill Akpabio, the former governor of Akwa-Ibom State.
Prof Peter Ogban, a professor of soil science at the University of Calabar was handed a 3-year-jail term for manipulating the Akwa-Ibom Northwest senatorial election against the peoples wish.
The major opposition party in the country hailed the courage of the judiciary in the discharge of the judgment and encourage them to go after other corrupt and compromised ad-hoc staff that worked to subvert the will of the people.
Speaking further, The Peoples Democratic Party chastise the academia for getting their hands soiled despite attaining an enviable position in their chosen career.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP also enjoin the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and Nigerians to remain vigilant ahead of the 2023 general elections so as to avoid alteration of results.
