EFCC Arrest Fake EFCC Official
The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC has arrested and paraded one Mr. Williams Michael Ogwezi, also known as Dr. Williams, who has been parading himself as an EFCC official.
Mr. Williams was arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office. The culprit who has been parading himself as a staff if the commission has defrauded unsuspecting victims.
According to information Mr. Williams has recently defrauded a lady, of jewelry valued at N10,000,000.00 (Ten Million Naira) before his arrest.
The arrested fake EFCC official Mr. Williams Michael Ogwezi, furthermore known as Dr. Williams, is a member of a larger syndicate that specializes in forging identity cards of the Commission as well as those of other law enforcement agencies.
The suspect was arrested in the Ajah area of Lagos following a report received by the Commission from the Nigeria Police Area Command. Item recover from him at the point of arrest include a fake EFCC identity card, EFCC face masks, three laptops, three mobile phones, and two vehicles (Lexus and Hyundai Genesis).
In his statement to the Commission, the fake EFCC official Mr. Williams Michael Ogwezi confessed to having been involved in the alleged crime.
