Diana Rigg who played the role of Lady Olena Tyrell of High garden in the television series Game of Thrones has passed away aged 82 and now her watch has ended.
The news of her death was made public by her daughter, actress Rachael Stirling. Stirling earlier announced the news by writing: “My Beloved Ma died peacefully in her sleep early this morning, at home, surrounded by family. I will miss her beyond words.”
According to Stirling, Dame Diana died of cancer, after being diagnosed in March. “She spent her last months joyfully reflecting on her extraordinary life, full of love, laughter, and deep pride in her profession,” she added.
Diana Rigg, the English actress fame for her character in tv series Game of Thrones has starred in many films and tv series. She played Emma Peel in the TV series The Avengers; and Countess Teresa di Vicenzo, wife of James Bond, in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
