COVID-19: Lagos State deputy governor mourns late brother
Obafemi Hamzat, the present Lagos State Deputy governor mourns late brothe, Haroun Hamzat. Haroun Hamzat Died days ago as a result of contracting COVID-19.
Until his death, Haroun Hamzat was a medical doctor attached to the Lagos primary healthcare centre at Orile, Agege in the state.
“This week I lost my 37 years old younger brother, Dr. Haroun Hamzat to #COVID19. He was hardworking and well loved,helping a lot of patents at the Lagos primary healthcare centre in Orile, Agege.
COVID19 does not respect anyone & this second wave is affecting across age groups” reads a statement from Obafemi Hamzat.
The Politician advised Nigerians to be mindful of the presence of COVID-19 as the world is still battling to contain the virus.
Speaking further, Obafemi Hamzat thanks the Lagos States Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for sticking with his family at the trying time.
Meanwhile, Nigeria is experiencing a surge in positive COVID-19 cases according to the NCDC statistics. Some states have gone back to lockdown bars and restaurants while also limiting the number of people in religious centres and other ceremonies.
