Chile Eclipse: Araucanía experiences total darkness
Around midday earlier on Monday, 14th December, the sky turned totally dark around the Araucanía region in Chile when the moon completely covered the sun in what scientists call a solar eclipse.

It was barely long after, that the momentary darkness then started clearing up.
Thousands of Chileans and tourists trooped out and gathered across the region to witness the Chile eclipse
It has now been projected that there won’t be another total solar eclipse of the sun visible in Latin America until 2048.
