A Federal High Court Sitting in Asaba the Delta State Capital has today 14th May 2020, award the sum of 10 Million Naira to Anthony Okolie over illegal detention and restrainment by the Nigeria Secret Police (SSS).

Anthony okolie who was detained for over 10 weeks following his arrest by the men of the State Security Service for buying and using an MTN SIM card which was previously used and abandoned by Hanan buhari, the daughter of President Muhammadu buhari.

Anthony Okolie a businessman was arrested and detained in 2019, where he encountered Omoyele Sowore the Revolution Now Campaigner cell.

Omoyele Sowore, confirmed this after his release when claimed to have met with Okolie during his time in DSS custody, and he described the incident as disturbing.

Earlier this year, a human rights lawyer, Tope Akinyode, said the situation was truly disturbing.

And he Tope would file a suit against the SSS and Hanan buhari for human rights abuse.

The Federal High Court in Asaba has today awards the sum of 10 Million Naira to Mr. Okolie against Nigeria’s lawless secret police, SSS, for illegally detaining him.

This was confirmed by Omoyele Sowore today in a Twitter post.
