Former Brazil striker Robinho on Thursday, Dec 10, had a nine-year sentence for the assault of a young lady maintained by a court in Italy.
Judges of the Milan Court of Appeal affirmed the sentence for both Robinho and one of his companions for bunch sexual viciousness going back to January 2013.
The pair were among a gathering of six men blamed for partaking in the assault of a 22-year-old Albanian lady in a Milan club.
They were both arranged to mutually pay the lady 60,000 euros ($A97,000).
The body of evidence against the four other denounced has been suspended.
Robinho was playing for AC Milan at the hour of the assault and was attempted in absentia in November 2017.
TV station Globo Sports delivered passages of a chronicle Italian investigators used to make sure about their conviction, in which the player purportedly says, “I’m giggling in light of the fact that I couldn’t care less. The lady was totally tanked. She doesn’t have the foggiest idea what occurred.”
Robinho, 36, who has denied the charges, has the privilege to again claim the nine-year sentence inside 90 days.
