The Executive Governor of Lagos state Mr. Babajide Sanwo Olu has sent out strict note of warning to friends, families, professional colleagues and political associates ahead of his birthday tomorrow.

The governor who succeeded Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode as the executive governor of Lagos state will be clocking 55 come tomorrow, June 25.

According to the governor, no friends, associates, or families should post any congratulatory advertisement concerning his birthday in any newspaper.

The Governor wishes to continue his tradition of reaching out and sharing love with the needy in the society. For him, the occasion of his birthday especially the 55th year should be spent on deep and sober reflections.


It is further noted that apart from reaching out to the needy, the governor will attend to important state matters as there will be no time for special birthday celebration.

Babajide Sanwo Olu however appreciate every well wishers who wish to celebrate him saying that such energy should be transferred on touching people’s life.

For the governor, the best birthday gift anyone can give him is to identify those at the bottom of the pyramid whenever they reside, lift them up by putting a smile on their faces in such way they have done in their part in celebrating him.

This is a commendable act and gesture from the governor given the fact that most Nigerian political office holder cherish lavish display of wealth.
