The spread of COVID-19 in the south Western part of Nigeria has been a threat, hence, the governor’s declare lockdown in some states while others had curfew. For actions like this, there’s always a ripple effect and the masses are at the receiving end.

Ibadan has been on curfew for a almost by the state government with the sole aim of reducing the spread of the novel coronavirus. The effect has been evident as the economy is currently down to it’s knees with naira at the mercy of dollars in the exchange market. There has been an alarming increase in crime rates all over the country, including Ibadan. However, a Nigerian youth stepped forward to fill that void and provide for people in that capacity, his name Ayodeji Alayande, C.E.O I.RASA. Mr Ayodeji Ayodele, a born Ibadan entrepreneur who has spent half a Million naira to provide clothing and foods for the less privileged in Ibadan. The food items were taken to areas of highest needs such Ojè, Óranyan and Béere. Residents of those area were blessed by Mr Ayodele’s contribution of clothes and foods and were happy about it and showerd prayers on him.

In times like this, these simple act of kindness goes a long way in changing the narratives of people, therefore avoiding certain things which includes death via starvation as hunger claims more lives daily than malaria
