Austin Chenge is a 34-year-old Nigerian in the diaspora who has continue to do Nigeria proud.
The 34-year-old Nigerian, Austin Chenge, is strongly in the race for the governorship sit in the United state of America. Austin who is based in the state of Michigan USA is all set to run for the governorship position in the state come 2022.
According to a statement by the Head of Media and Public Relations Unit, Nigerians in Diaspora Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Mr. Abdul-Rahman Balogun indicated that Austin Chenge, a native of Benue State in Nigeria, will challenge USA Representative Lamar Smith for the ticket under the Republican Party.
The Benue-born Nigerian is the first Republican to have declared his intention to run for the governorship position in the state of Michigan. Austin Chenge announced his intention to run in March this year.
Chenge has been serving with the US military as a specialist since 2018 before his declaration of intention to run for the governorship position.
Chenge a Law graduate from the University of Birmingham, England is decorated with the Achievement Medal as a Distinguished Honour Graduate with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 99.8% and for exceptional performance while on active duty.
Back home in Nigeria Austin Chenge is also very famous for his designing of a popular tricycle, known as “Wazobia tricycle”, in 2016, designed to improve the lives of peasant farmers all over Africa.
