Ajimobi Passed Away Last Week- Kemi Olunloyo Confirm Rumors On The Death Of Former Governor
Abiola Ajimobi the former governor of Oyo state was confirmed dead towards the end of this week on Thursday night.
While there has been various speculations on his death which was circulated last week, many believed that the former governor actually died last week but was only announced dead this week.
While the news of the death of Ajimobi was rife last week, notable people came out to disclaim the news saying that the governor was not dead. People like the former governor’s aide, his daughter and other officials.
Fisayo Soyombo confirmed the death of the former governor last week but investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo denied it saying that the man was just sick at the moment.
Many believed her to a great extent but following the announcement of Ajimobi’s death this week, many now actually believed the former governor died the precious week.
Kemi Olunloyo who is also an investigative journalist have also confirmed the news that Ajimobi actually died last week.
In a post she shared on her twitter handle @KemiOlunloyo she narrated how the in actual fact Ajimobi really died last week and Fisayo Soyombo was actually right.
According to Kemi, since she was a relative, she spoke to family members only while stating that her father who was Ajimobi’s cousin confirmed the news of Ajimobi’s death last week.
“Governor Abiola Ajimobi in fact passed away last week 6/18 @fisayosoyombo an investigative Journalist who broke the info initially WAS RIGHT. These are trying times for we media professionals. As a relative who spoke to family members, I went by the source ONLY.”
“It was my own father His Excellency VOS Olunloyo Ajimobi’s cousin that briefed me in a phone call that he indeed died a week ago due to complications of COVID19. My dad mention Brain death and multiple organ failure. He was moved to an Ibadan morgue by the Lagos state government.”
She noted that indeed the death is a sad one for the people of Oyo state. Abiola Ajimobi will however be buried on live TV tomorrow 6/28/2020.
“His death was a sad development for we Oyo state indigenes as he served us 8 years. Ajimobi will be buried on a live TV state funeral tomorrow Sunday 6/28/20.”
