The ugly incidence happened on Thursday, 24th of this month, when aggrieved residents of Isale Igbeyin/ Grammar School and partly Sapon Area of Abeokuta leashed an attack on Mr Ayorinde, who was distributing bills in the area.
Narrating his ordeal, he said, while he was distributing  bills of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC, to residential houses in Isale Igbeyin/ Grammar School area in Abeokuta and I was attacked by group of people, who demanded that I stop the distribution of the bills. Before I could say a word, they started throwing stones and pure water at me, which left me injured. My left eye had been condemned, he lamented.
Without pity, the crowd of angry boys attacked me for discharging my duty, as a staff of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC). Fortunately for me, I was rescued by the police after getting a distress call from my boss who reported to the Ibara Police Station. After the rescue, I was taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention, he said.

While our correspondence try to interview some of the residence, the aggrieved residence who claimed anonymous and also proof she was not part of those who attacked Mr Ayorinde, she said: she was of the opinion that the Federal Government had waved the March and April electricity bill for all Nigerians. She claimed to have read in a news that the bill would be taken care of.

Information getting to our desk after the attack on Mr Ayorinde, a staff of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company IBEDC, who was wrongly dealt with by angry residents.
The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, Sagamu office went round the town to inform the PUBLIC that Federal Government did not agreed to pay, hence they appealed to the public to get ready to pay their bills after the COVID-19 wahala and brouhaha.
