Abubakar Shekau Release New Video; Vows More Violence
Abubakar Shekau Faction of Boko Haram has earlier today released a new video where he Shekau vowed to continue his violent campaign against the infidels
Abubakar Shekau the leader of the Jamaat Ahlussunnah lid-Dawa wal-Jihad faction of Boko Haram notorious for its deadly attack has for some month now been quiet, although there were reports that there seems to be disunity in his camp and many commanders had either fleed of joined other Boko Haram factions.
In his latest video, Abubakar Shekau vowed to continue his attack. The video also features combatants, including a very young boy, with firearms threatening violence against “unbelievers”.
Shekau has previously in the year June 15, in releasing a video featuring English, French, Fulani, and Hausa-speaking fighters. He “greeted” his fellow fighters in Zamfara and Niger states. Three weeks later, on July 7, Boko Haram released another video of fighters in Niger State returning “greetings” to Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau and “brothers” in Zamfara. which is one of Nigeria’s northwestern.
Abubakar Shekau served as deputy leader to the Boko Haram group’s founder, Mohammed Yusuf until Yusuf was executed in 2009. When he purportedly took over the leadership of the terrorist organization, which has since then carried out violent attacks in Nigeria, Chad, and Cameroon.
