President Muhammad Buhari has paid tribute to l his late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, who died on 17th April 2020, from complications caused by the Coronavirus.
The president described him as a loyal friend and compatriot. He said Abba was a selfless person who always put the nation’s interest at heart.
Buhari revealed that he met the deceased 50 years ago and he has been committed and loyal to him.
“He was only in his twenties when we first met. A diligent student, soon after he was blessed with the opportunity to study abroad – first at Warwick and then law at the University of Cambridge.” President Buhari said in his statement.
The Nigerian leader wishes his best friend and eternal rest and sympathized with his wife and children.
“Mallam Abba Kyari was the very best of us. He was made of the stuff that makes Nigeria great.
