Amuda Adeleke’s picture was unauthorized used for Campaign billboard.

In a suit marked FHC/L/CS/19, Amuda Adeleke had told the court that the CD, Dr. Bukola Saraki and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar uses her photograph on their campaign billboard without her consent.
She lamented that this caused her embarrassment and she prayed the Court to award N45m for infringement, as her fundamental right to privacy as enshrined, in the
1999 Constitution.

However, Justice Faji awarded a sum of N5m against the defendants.

This is a big lesson for everyone, the issue of copyright infringement is real. We should endeavor to stay clear and avoid such in the nearest future.
