The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB has made known the categories of people that will re-seat for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Exam – UTME, as well as its Direct Entry Examination.

According to a report published by Punch Online Newspapers, not fewer than 1,969 persons have been slated to re-seat for the recently concluded UTME and Direct Entry examination.

This reschedule is following a series of issues encountered by candidates during the examination as well as general problems with exam centers.

The four categories include; candidates who missed their exams due to finger-print peculiarity issues, candidates who wrote exams in centers that were found guilty of exam malpractices, candidates who had technical problems, and candidates who had issues with their Biometric Verification Matriculation.

However, the majority of people that will be taking the mop-up exam are candidates whose examinations were canceled due to exam malpractices conducted by their various centers.

About 10 centers of such were listed, this implies that anyone who wrote his or her exam in any of these 10 centers is eligible for the mop-up. Below are the centers:

Therefore, everyone who missed their exams due to the above-mentioned issues has been slated for the mop-up examination by the board on August 6th.

Speaking on why they rescheduled a mop-up examination for 10 centers found guilty of malpractice, the board disclosed that it is being done for innocent people who despite writing in these centers did not partake in the malpractice yet had their results canceled as a general measure.

Nonetheless, it is important to note that candidates who for whatsoever reason were absent at their examination centers on their scheduled days are not eligible for this mop-up exercise.

Anyone who sat for his or her UTME/DE examination in any of the above-mentioned centers is hereby advised to prepare for a mop-up examination on the 6th of August.
